I know we're in the dogs day so Summer right now, but I want to fast forward a bit to Fall and share with you some must-have looks for the upcoming season!
The glass spillith' over this Fall with bordeaux once again being a go-to-color of the season! It can be treated as a neutral because it compliments so many different colors. Worn with black, brown, denim or grey these boots will pop!

Green is another on-trend color for Fall 2012 and this green "Boxer" by Reed Krakoff has just secured a spot in my closet! I love the boldness of the bag, one that will add that POC you crave and have fellow fashionistas green with envy. :o)

Leather pants are once again IN this upcoming season so why not twist up the look with a textured pair like the J Brand pair below. These pants go great paired with loose button downs, oversized sweaters or with a loose tank and structured blazer - they're basically an essential for your F/W wardrobe.
J Brand Vera Midrise Skinny Pant available at Intermix
An example of a fabulous oversized sweater to pair with your Vera pants above, this pumpkin spice colored knit by Vince. Nothing says Fall like oversized, comfy sweaters especially when they're done in such a seasonal color as this. Love!

This next dress combines 3 of Fall's hottest trends in one, leather, lace and peplum! With two different looks juxtaposed together - the edginess and the dainty, ladylikeness of the dress - the result is that you will feel fierce whenever you wear this number. I'd love to see this dress paired with a pair of cherry red suede pumps or booties!
Studio Dress with Leather Peplum Frill at Zara
Following the peplum trend, this top by Intermix is divine! Worn in the office with a black pencil skirt then out to dinner just the same or with a pair of skinny black pants, this piece will go a long way in your Fall wardrobe.

Military green is one of my favorite colors for Fall and the PS1 tote is a staple to your handbag collection. I love the distinctive look of this bag and the flexibility it offers - you can tote it around your wrist or sling it over your shoulder.

Grey pumps. They go well with pretty much everything so you can treat them as the new nude and with Fall's IT colors of purple, blues, greens, these will compliment them all so nicely.
Brian Atwood Maniac Leather Patent Pumps at Intermix
Sheer is another trend for the upcoming season and this sexy dress by Mason has a gorgeous nude-colored sheer full back opening - it's hot hot hot!

Rag & Bone hit one out of the park with these boots - the Deacon. They're the perfect blend of a combat boot on a delicate heel and are exactly what I was looking for. Personally, I can't pull off a combat boot (wish I could!) so this is a breath of fresh air because it adds the right amount of ladylike I craved. Paired with skinny jeans or tights these boots will definitely be a topic of conversation when you march your way in to any environment.

Oversized long sleeves not only keep you warm in the cooler months but they're very IN this upcoming season.

Don't forget a structured blazer (black is of course already a staple in your wardrobe) and why not do a print like this plaid blazer by Alice + Olivia!

Lace will never go out of style and this number by Alice by Temperley (Temperley is the brand responsible for so many of Kate Middleton's stunning dresses) is a great buy because it works in the office and out. Pair it with black tights and booties or wear as shown below with a black pump or any other color.
Kitty Dress, Alice by Temperley
This next maxi dress by Alexis is a favorite of mine! It's stunning and can be dressed up or down so it will work for a Garden Party brunch with sandals or dressed up with strappy heels and a statement necklace at night.

Just because the days are getting cooler doesn't mean you have to put away your open-toe strappy heels. Just the opposite - rock them until there's snow on the ground!
Giuseppe Zanotti Cut-Out Band Sandal at Barneys
Jacquard is another print you'll see all season long and it's a timeless look so it will never cease to be in style. Every woman should own a knit dress and this Ohne Titel combines two of my favs - my love for pairing a rich blue with black and jacquard.

We all need to stay warm so why not do it in style with this quilted leather coat from Zara. It offers that biker chic look you crave without being too much.

I saved the luxe for last :o) How gorgeous is this Dior jacquard coat?! So ladylike and elegant with soft rose and cream colors and A-line shape...it's a showstopper of a piece!
Dior Mohair Jacquard Coat
Finally, if you were at my Midsummer Champagne Toast last month at the Dior Chevy Chase boutique, you got to see in person this gorgeous bright red coat. The double faced wool coat - lined in grey - is truly fabulous and something you'll wear for years to come because of it's classic cut and color. Plus the scoopneck collar allows you to switch up the look every time you wear it - with a turtleneck, with a button down collar, or just a scarf!
