It's that time of year - time for District Sample Sale (DSS) - an evening filled with fabulous fashions on SALE with portions of the proceeds benefiting The Sitar Arts Center.
If you've never been to the DSS, it's sort of like a less intense bridal sample sale. Be prepared to face a crowd while you shop and ready to move quickly as sizes go fast! (This is the advantage to the VIP ticket holders - you get to start at 530PM/before the Gen Adm ticket holders arrive.)
Here are some helpful tips from Yours Truly for making the most out of the DSS:
*Bring cash*
We all know that cash is king and in this case will help the line move along more quickly...so we all thank you in advance for paying in cash. :o) (DSS accepts all major credit cards)
*Wear comfortable shoes and layers*
You'll be one of hundreds of women anxious to get their hands on some great pieces, so make sure you're shoes are ones that allow you to move around with ease. When it comes to trying things on, you'll want to do it quickly and the pop-up fitting roms are anything but spacious so make sure you wear something you can slip in and out of quickly and with ease.
*Arrive early*
With your ticket you'll be guranteed to get in but if you want first dibs on picking through the fabulous frocks then arrive early so that you're first in line!
