Luxe velvets and ornate details oozing with the drama and exuberance of the Baroque architecture of Versailles - brocades ruled the runways during the Fall 2012 RTW collection showings in New York this past February.

What's great about brocade is that it adds a touch of refinment to any look and this season, using luxurious fabrics, designers have created brocade looks that transcend their boring, curtain-like tendencies in to something you can wear dressed up to a formal event or paired with a fierce handbag and boots.
