What more can I say about Kate Middleton - she kills it every time she steps out. She defines elegance in her every move and fashion choices, which is why IMO she is a true style icon. And while attending the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Middleton couldn't have looked better. Dressed in her go-to designer Alexander McQueen, Middleton wore a firey red dress - which Creative Director Sarah Burton customized just for Middleton - and a gorgeous nude-colored lace dress.
Red is THE color of the moment - it's sexy, powerful, feminine and you can't go wrong with a red dress done right. The pleating in Middleton's dress added a bit of flirty-ness to the look and the long sleeves and knee-length hemline adding a touch of conservativeness - a winning combination!
The lace number was my favorite - truly elegant, romantic and feminine. Lace is a forever trend and in the warm nude color this type of dress will remain a classic through the years. When shopping for your lace dress, it's worth it to spend a bit more on a high-end, fine quality piece as you want it to hold up over time.

Middleton is the perfect example of how you can make anything look good, whether it's from Zara or a couture Parisian fashion house, it's all about how you carry yourself. I am the first to admit though, I adore all the Alexander McQueen dresses she has worn. If I had one fashion wish to be granted today it would be to raid the Alexander McQueen section of Middleton's closet and keep them all for myself! :o)
