Last Wednesday evening, DC's L2 Lounge in Cady's Alley was the venue for an exclusive Dar be Dar fashion show, Bikini Revolution, benefiting the Washington Humane Society. Designer Tala Raassi brought her swimwear collection strait from the runways right here in to the Nation's Capital to give attendees a look at her latest for Summer 2011.

Raassi is a native to the DC-area and began Dar be Dar in 2005 seeking to "promote freedom of expression for women through sensual apparel that accentuates and celebrates the female body," according to Raassi's bio. Her collection of swimwear is sultry, edgy, sexy and fashion-forward and the prices are reasonable - between $130-$170. Yours Truly scored a banana yellow-colored string bikini which I absolutely adore!!! Each piece is unique and very flattering to the female figure. Trust me, everyone will want to know who you're wearing when you rock a Dar be Dar swimsuit or bikini!

Event organizer John Paul Hamilton created an amazing committee of hosts, to include Andrea Rinaldi, Stefanie Ball, Michelle Gloden Schoenfeld, Jacqueline Heinrich and Yours Truly April Jones Firoozabadi and delivered a packed house at L2 Lounge. 10% of the evening's sales were graciously donated to the WHS by Raassi as well as money made from the raffle ticket sales. Fabulous raffle prizes included treats from Renu Med Spa,
Washington Center for Dentistry and Salon Daniel. Hair was done by James Cornwell and make-up was provided by Nour Kouzan and Leslie Bethea of MadeUpArt.
Make sure you scoop up your Dar be Dar bikini asap - summer is quickly approaching! :o)
